User Feedback:

Overall I received positive reviews on my game. People like the overall design and stated that the sounds matched the aesthetic of the game. It was mentioned that adding animation to the coins and having a buzzing sound effect could have enhanced user experience.

Thanks for playing my game I tried to make it as challenging as I could!

Godot User Testing

Hello everyone, from my user testing results I found some bugs I had to resolve. The main issue was the characters’ physics and climbing! I changed how the gravity affects the player and added a sprint mechanic! Additionally, I raised a platform’s height so it would allow the player to already know how to climb before they reach the mountains!

I couldn’t fix the lag issue as I’m not sure what is causing it; it may be due to the size of the level or the GPU snow, which I lowered the count of.

Thank you for all the critique; it was really helpful!

I’ve made some progress and I’m continuing to work on improving my idea. I hope you’ll take a look and let me know what needs improvement.

Godot Game Feedback

I received a lot of positive feedback when it came to the overall design and color pallet of my level. It seems that people really enjoyed the twist ending of my game as well! It also seems that I was successful in achieving a surreal and/or trippy vibe to my game which I am glad to hear. I did receive some constructive feedback about making the ending of my game a bit more clear and proper as well which I definitely agree needed to be fleshed out a bit more.

Godot Game Feedback~

Feedback for my Godot game was positive, with item usage being helpful for keeping track of where the player has been already, and small details like a volume slider to allow the player to control the volume of the BGM giving the game a little more professional feel.
The second level’s Key location was also praised for being out of sight on the way through the level, but in a good easy to find spot when you backtrack, that lets you see you walked right over it. It was also mentioned I should add sound effects to the items so it’s more obvious that they are being collected, and that I missed a signal connected in the final goal that makes it not remove the message from your screen when you leave its detection area.

Godot Game Feedback

I received positive feedback about the atmosphere, colors, music, and overall feeling of my final project. Many people mentioned that the game felt warm, nostalgic, and visually interesting, which was one of the main feelings I wanted to create while designing the environment and gameplay.

I also received helpful feedback about collision issues, level layout, and navigation. Some players mentioned falling off the map or getting stuck in certain areas, so in future I would spend more time improving the structure of the level, adding reset systems, and making navigation clearer for the player. But I am still proud of the final result and everything I was able to create and learn through this final project in Godot.

Godot2

I added collectibles and enemies that chase the player in the game. There are five collectibles in the map. I also added animations for the collectibles, they will spin to show players they can be collected, and they shrink once touched.
