Godot User Testing

Hello everyone, from my user testing results I found some bugs I had to resolve. The main issue was the characters’ physics and climbing! I changed how the gravity affects the player and added a sprint mechanic! Additionally, I raised a platform’s height so it would allow the player to already know how to climb before they reach the mountains!

I couldn’t fix the lag issue as I’m not sure what is causing it; it may be due to the size of the level or the GPU snow, which I lowered the count of.

Thank you for all the critique; it was really helpful!

Godot week 4 – Final Project – Mousey Islands

This is a flood-escape-inspired game!

link: https://emerald-truffles.itch.io/mousey-islands

You are a little mouse who needs to reach the peak of Mt. Evercheese before the water rises!

WSAD to move, Spacebar to jump, and you can even scale walls by walking into them! Be careful not to fall, as if you end up fully submerged in the water, then… You’ll be toasted!

(A little tip: if you hold space and WSAD while walking into a wall, you’ll climb it faster.)

Can you beat my time? its 3 minutes and 43 seconds! You can get a quicker time by taking another path.

There isn’t music or SFX for the game, and please don’t make it full screen; it messes up the UI!

MicroStudio User testing – week 4

Hello, I was informed that my Microstudio game was rather hard due to hitboxes and timing issues with enemies. To resolve this, I changed the enemy sprites to use the full bounding box so the player can be aware of their size! I also added new platforms to some jumps, as the jumps made it hard to smoothly collect all the coins within the level! I hope everyone can enjoy the new update!

My godot game – week 2

Hello, I was focusing on the level design and a cute main character for this week. I wanted to design a 3d space with a 2d character

I designed the level in blender yet did not have enough time to texture it. I’ll be adding my concept art down below.

I’m struggling with hitboxes as my character cant move through certain things nor shows up on the camera, even though i wanted it to be third person

ill be adding my cocnept art and video down below
the gameplay is unfinished for now
i also used low-poly assets from this artist – quaternius on itch.io

Godot – week 1

I don’t have much for my game, as I just started everything this evening due to a busy week. I want to make an adventure or exploration game whee you walk around on a beach. I had an idea for a curved area near some water with palm trees. However, i’m not sure how to create curved objects or even make grass!

I was following a shader tutorial; however, nothing worked out, as my plane was pitch black. I’m planning on designing objects in Blender to import within the project.

I would love help with turning my idea into a real area!

Micro studio – Avatar

I wanted to mess around with the animation by making something bouncy with it! I’m not sure what to name this character or what they are. I haven’t done the backdrop yet

Bitsy – batrica’s adventure

Itchio link: https://emerald-truffles.itch.io/batrica-adventure

I had fun making this! My favorite part of using Bitsy was using clever ways to make fun sprites, like with the moon or the house I have down below.

This game is about Batrica, a bat lady who helps a ghost get partygoers for their strange graveyard rave of some sort. It’s a 2-minute adventure game and is very linear! Thank you!

Bitsy – week 1

Hello everyone! I don’t have much of a plan for my Bitsy project, however, I found its 2 sprite animation features to be quite fun! I animated the cat and the objects that came with a new project and designed a little bat character that flies for the avatar.

I want to do more with the project yet I’m unsure how to test what i created out.

Cafe Mix-up is now available!

Hi everyone! I was able to finish my demo, but I had to drop some things and story paths. Additionally. I wasn’t able to draw the custom images as I planned due to outside issues. However, I do feel like the path I took with the one customer interaction is fun and can lead you to two different demo endings. The game isn’t up for public; however, the password to access it is “Apple”.

I made a little description as well: “You’re forced to manage a cafe filled with strange secrets. Will you be able to reach the quota before the day ends?”

I enjoyed working with twine and I feel like, after this semester is over, I’ll come back to the project to finish it!

I made a quick cover using canva and my own art + logo.

I hope you guys enjoy it!
