Introduction to Video Game Design
Here is my process in Godot so far. I created a few platforms and added some trees for scenery, which has helped me get a better idea of how I want the game to look.

Here is my published microStudio game: https://lexcmorgan.itch.io/my-mirostudio-game
I appreciate the feedback I received on this, such as the ones about my character design. Others suggested differentiating the levels and changing the placement of the sun in the background so the player is more visible. If I continued developing this game, I would focus on changing the levels more and probably increasing the difficulty. I would also change the position of the sun or at least create more contrast between the player and the background.
Here is my published microStudio. I decided to create a flamingo player that collects shrimp on the beach while avoiding obstacles like crabs and seagulls.

This is my progress for microStudio. I created coins and obstacles. Something is really buggy with my obstacles, so I plan on fixing that this week.
The player is a flamingo who must collect shrimp while avoiding obstacles such as pollution on the beach and seagulls.

This is my character design so far. I made a flamingo with idle, walking, and jumping animations. I am trying to make the jump animation a little smoother.

This is my Bitsy game, Under Observation: https://lexcmorgan.itch.io/under-observation
Overall, I appreciate the feedback everyone gave on the game. One suggestion that stood out was the idea of including different endings depening on which items the player collected. I would definitely consider adding something like that if I continued developing this game.
A few others pointed out that there was a bug in one of the rooms that caused players to get stuck and not be able to move. I’m honestly not completely sure what caused the issue because every time I play tested the game myself I was able to move through that room without any problems. After going back and looking at the room, I may have accidentally placed a wall tile piece somewhere and maybe that caused the room to behave differently for other players.

This is my Bitsy progress. I created six rooms and narrowed down my concept. Basically, an astronaut is being watched as he travels through a spaceship to collect parts to repair his own. I’m going to look over it a few more times, but other than that, I feel it is ready to upload.
This is my Bitsy progress so far. I’m not entirely too sure of the whole concept yet, but I want it to involve an astronaut collecting spacecraft parts so he can return home. I started creating sprites and items, and making a layout of the rooms for exits.

I published Zodiac on Itch.io. This game is about an astronomer who must use his knowledge to save the world from a catastrophic event.

The feedback I received in my game was that I had an interesting concept, although my passages led to the same storyline. Initially, I intended for that to happen. Looking back, I now think it would’ve been better to include more abrupt endings to have more vairety and make the choices seem more impactful. I’ll definitely take that into consideration next time.
This week, I added onto my project and tried to include a counter that keeps track of how many Zodiacs are collected throughout the game. I plan on trying to add more variables so that I do not have as many cards.
