I recreated a sculpture of a balloon dog made by Jeff Koons. I hated making this very much at the beginning, but by the end, I actually hated it maybe 2% less, so there’s that. I don’t think I’ll be going into 3D as a career, but I did kind of enjoy exploring it here. It was made mostly out of spheres and cylinders because I didn’t realize half-spheres existed till about halfway through, and I was already in a rhythm with it, so I just finished it. I think it turned out pretty well, I quite like it!
“What’s for Lunch?” Fall 2025 HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GitHub, Sublime Text
For my project, I created a “choose your own adventure” lunch picker designed to help people discover quick lunch ideas while having fun exploring different nutrient options. Each choice leads to a different food category, and I also built a separate recipes page so you can actually find meal inspiration. One of the biggest challenges was positioning the image on the recipes page, so it sat beside the text. After a lot of trial and error and searching through W3Schools, Stack Overflow, and Reddit, I finally got the layout to work the way I imagined. I also tried putting all my story code in a folder as the Professor has it, and putting the nav bar in a div, but something about my code absolutely hates those two things and breaks no matter what I do… W3 schools couldn’t save me there, so it is what it is! At least the code functions.
I also added some extra features, like a footer, a favicon, and JavaScript buttons. All images are fully credited in my HTML code (alt), and clicking on any image will take you directly to its source page!
“Sky of Emotion” Fall 2025 Adobe Animate For this project, I created a sky that goes through a range of emotions. It begins with a calm, peaceful sky, but then a problem occurs, and the scene shifts into rain. The rainfall continues until a resolution is reached, and the sky becomes happy again, shining brightly with a sense of relief and pride. Most of the elements, such as the clouds, raindrops, and sun, were built using basic oval shapes that I adjusted and reshaped to match what they were meant to represent.
The most challenging part of the process was designing the sun. There was probably a more efficient method, but the approach I took was very time-consuming and required a lot of small adjustments. Even so, I’m satisfied with the final result and how the overall animation moves through the emotion.
I animated a person waving hello. I tried to make it seamless, but I think I’ve stared at it too long, so I don’t know what’s going on anymore! Adobe Animate is… interesting to work with.
This audio piece captures the atmosphere of a New York City street. The person recording is sitting close to the road, so the steady background is made up of cars rushing by, motorcycles roaring, and the constant movement of the city. Not far away, you can hear the liveliness of a playground, kids shouting, laughing, running around, and the creak of swings as they go back and forth. Layered on top of these sounds is the strumming of a street musician’s guitar and some music. The mix of traffic, children, and live music creates a snapshot of everyday city life. I used mainly prerecorded sounds, but I played the guitar myself.
Sounds used:
Poorly played guitar (the riff of Love Yourself by Justin Bieber and Rules by Doja Cat) by me
This is a recording of a city street. I added 100% reverb to the siren because it makes it sound farther away from the person recording, and I thought that was a cool effect. I normalized and did some mastering of the music as well. And sped up the swings towards the end of the audio
