5 of the World's Strangest Islands | TheCollector

For my 3D design project, I chose the Moai statues from Easter Island (Rapa Nui). These monumental stone sculptures were created by the Rapa Nui people and are known for their large heads, simplified facial features, and strong vertical form. The statues are believed to represent important ancestors and hold cultural and spiritual significance.

I selected this sculpture because of its clear structure and simplified human form, which makes it suitable for reinterpretation using basic 3D shapes.

This sculpture inspired my project by showing how strong character and presence can be expressed through simple geometric forms and proportions.

I’m submitting my web project for MMP 100, a short interactive 5 pages “Choose Your Own Adventure” story built using foundational web technologies.

The central theme is about waking up with a superpower either Flying or Invisibility and dealing with the unique consequences of that choice. The user navigates through the story based on their initial decision, leading to one of two different endings.

Website CSS Update

This week, I improved my “choose your own adventure” website by expanding the story and updating the design.Both endings (flying and invisibility) now have longer, more detailed descriptions.I also added a new color theme, updated the fonts, and centered the layout using a container with margin and padding.All pages now share one CSS file, and the project structure is organized correctly.

My animation shows the transition from day to night through a simple story. A man and his chicks enjoy a peaceful day until night falls, when a wild dog appears but gets scared away by a small puppy.
