Kinetic Austere

Inspired by  Four Squares in (1969), sculpture by George Rickey at  New National Gallery, Berlin, Germany.

My 3D Design was inspired by the Kinetic Sculptor, George Rickey. What inspired my project was how subtle and simple the sculpture initially looked and discovering the reason for being created. My process for replicating this was really simple and straight forward creating squares with copy+paste methods and mimicking the angles of the original squares in the sculpture.

Kalis Website

Fall 2025

HTML, CSS, VS Code, Github

My project is about my pet, I decided to provide a story as to how I adopted her, a photo gallery, her favorite toys, day-in-the-life, and advice page for prospective cat owners. My goal was to make the webpage user-friendly and simple. I also wanted a gentle color theme that is feminine and cute!

For This weeks assignment I updated my site by added a navigation bar with buttons, so that a user can easily navigate throughout the pages. Each button also has a hover feature that translates as an active clickable button. I also added more custom HTML classes which can get overwhelming when styling but assigned to many of the them the same CSS rules. I thought to add a gallery and to place all of my images into a single folder which made my workflow more simpler.

Website First Draft

For this weeks blog, I really enjoyed using HTML and CSS to create a webpage for to my cat. For my draft I added a Google plug-in for my heading fonts and uploaded a picture of my pet. I decided to list some fun facts about her and how I adopted her. As a seasoned programmer this project actually was a refresher and reminded me how rusty my html/css knowledge was.

Finding Zen

Finding Zen

Fall 2025

Adobe Animate

For my animation final, I wanted to create a piece showing a person finding their own version of a zen state through simple, seated yoga poses. My goal was to create as many symbols as possible to animate different parts of the body as they transitioned into new poses, expressing my character’s journey toward contentment. Although It became an overall overwhelming challenge, this project has been passionately fun for me. As someone who once loved yoga and used other animation software like Autodesk, this experience brought back core memories of the comfort I feel when I have creative autonomy.

Domestic Morning

Fall 2025

Continuing the Domestic Morning audio project, in this finalization I decided to add panning and raising the volume on some of the more quite sounds happening. Wrestling in the blanket, walking down the stairs to the bathroom, and using kitchen items is where I took the advantage to enhance and add more layering effects to the ear.

Color Club: Cat Video

My animation is a short video featuring my cat, Kali. I used motion tweens and imported my images into the Adobe Animate library to explore what was possible. I especially enjoyed experimenting with color transitions using shape tweens. Although this animation doesn’t have a clear beginning or end, I wanted to entertain my cat, demonstrate my understanding of classic tweens, motion tweens, and other creative possibilities.

Forecast Flower

For my first animated GIF, I illustrated the sprouting of a flower as it blossoms, with some added weather effects. I really enjoyed the creative freedom I had throughout this process. If I were to improve it, i’d focus on making the keyframe transitions smoother to better capture the sprouting motion. Overall, i wanted to keep it simple and use this project to demonstrate what I’ve learned as an introduction to animation.
