I thought this would be a fun and simple structure to try and recreate. It was fun looking at the image and trying my best to match the block placements. Also, resizing after making it was fun.
My, choose your own adventure is basically my adventure currently. A little bit about me and what I want to do in the future. Also, some of the work I’ve done over the semester in MMP 100.
Final Animation of Smile. For this project I wanted to continue the fun with the shapes and see what I could get out of it. I really enjoyed figuring out the key frames and how long I wanted them to show so it could feel a lot more fluid. The storyboard was really useful in making sure I could remember the order of the faces. Every emotion I could show until I eventually got to my smile.
A simple animated reminder to smile. Different emotions, all eventually leading to the smile. Fun to mess around with the shapes to create the different faces.
I created a realistic restaurant scene. I wanted to do this because I wanted to see if I could recreate that environment well through strictly audio. I combined five different samples to create this environment. Some basic effects and key frame movement for the volume were the effects I used. I think one of the most difficult parts of this task was trying to figure out the key points of volume when moving the key frame on volume, just adjusting the volume and sound accordingly to the dialogue at the end. I’m the waiter :).
I really liked the idea of creating a restaurant audio that is can be used almost as a default intro to a location or scene in a restaurant. Wanted to make an audio that people undeniably hear and no doubt see a busy and fun restaurant. I combined 4 different audio samples together. I decided to use an automatic noise reduction on the people talking in the background as I felt it was overpowering the other sounds. I also significantly reduced a lot of volume and a multiband compressor for the jazz music in the back and added a fade out at the end, so the music is the last smooth thing you hear when the audio cuts. The most challenging part was definitely trying to align these sounds to get one cohesive sound and give a naturalistic feel to it, I solved it by really prioritizing the placement of each sound, how they stacked and volume control.
