I thought Female Head by Amedeo Modigliani was very interesting to design. I turned the shapes into holes so they could be cut, then grouped everything together. I used a bit of beveling to make some of the shapes smoother.
My choose your own story is about your actions determining whether your day goes good or bad. I liked this idea because it shows how even small choices can change the entire outcome of your day. The most difficult part of the project was figuring out what was wrong with some of the code.
I animated a blue ball that anticipates its jump before falling, gearing up for an even more powerful leap as it jumps out of frame and then returns, releasing a gush of wind. Under the line art, I stacked multiple layers, including colors, shading, and cast shadows. I wanted to showcase the ball’s energetic nature by using the animation principle of squash and stretch, which makes its movements feel more dynamic and expressive.
I created an audio track featuring the sound of trees being chopped while a campfire crackles in the background because I thought it seemed like a relaxing experience to listen to. I combined a total of five audio samples together and added reverb to give the sounds an echoing effect. The most challenging part of the project was figuring out what certain effects do. However, after experimenting and playing around with the effects, I was able to achieve the sound I was looking for.
For my audio draft, I decided to create a light campfire ambiance with calm background music. Toward the end, the sound of wood being chopped builds up to a tree falling.
