I was inspired by “Oval With Points.” When I first attempted it, it felt too basic so I tried to make it more “bumpy” like the actual sculpture. Since it’s not a regularly shaped oval. I used more circle and rectangle shapes to add that “bumpy” quality to it.
For the 3D Project I have decided to take inspiration from Henry Moore’s “Oval With Points!” I like how it looks aesthetically and that the two ends come so close to reaching other. There is something about that that resonates. I hope I can recreate it using Tinkercad.
For this project I used HTML, GitHub, CSS and Sublime Text. I chose to do on a costumed rogue known as Mister Maze AKA Matthew Aze (M. Aze). Definitely inspired by The Riddler. You play as a hero (any kind you would like) and you have a history of dealing with Mister Maze and his elaborate schemes. However, he has returned! Is he up to his old tricks or is this something new? I had fun implementing the audio! I wanted to do some voice over elements but it didn’t work out. There was a lot I wanted to do… Ultimately, I like how it turned out.
I updated it by adding CSS. I like the format, font and how the various greens and purples look. It makes the parallels of who Mr. Maze is inspired by even more apparent.
For the website draft, I’m telling a story about a “Super villain” that you have to stop! The villain in question being an original character named Mister Maze. He is definitely inspired by the Riddler. Right down to his real name being a pun. Riddler is Edward Nygma (Enigma) and Mister Maze is Matthew Aze (M.Aze). It’s up to you figure out what Mister Maze is up to this time.
For the animation project. I decided to expand on what I started during the draft. The transition from sunny weather to cloudy and rainy weather was fun to work on. I decided to add a stick figure person for the final story in this animation. You can read into the person entering towards the end in any way. Did the person want to come out during the sunny day but by the time they were outside it was rainy? Or did they only come out because they enjoy the rainy weather? Either interpretation (and more) are totally valid! I enjoyed using the tweens to get the cloudy and rainy effects.
I tried to make a transition from a bright sunny day to a cloudy day with rain seeming to be on the way. I used the oval shape as a cloud. I liked how the words coming through the cloud turned out.
For the Audio Project, I had an idea in mind of a person so absorbed into a video game that he doesn’t see the signs of a storm coming. I wanted the video game to sound classic like an 8-bit RPG type game. I recorded my voice to really make the story clear. My character is so invested in the game, that it takes his friend calling him to explain what’s happening outside. Although my character’s cat was aware of the storm brewing in the background. I tried to make the storm silent at first and then make it more noticeable once my character lowers the volume of the game to talk to is friend… right before the power goes out! Thankfully, it was nothing too serious and I wanted to end it on a light note instead of a full downer. All audio used was from Freesound.com except for my voice recording which used Adobe Audition:

Hello all! For my second draft I have further fleshed out the premise of the first. I wasn’t sure about doing a voice recording but I think this might call for it (potentially). For now, I looped the music as is often the case for many video games (Especially the classic 8-bit ones) and I played around with the volume for each audio file. For example the first time a thunderstorm is heard here, it’s played a bit quieter because the volume of the video game is so loud. Once I get a phone call for a second time, I pick up (unlike the first time where I hung up because I was so into the video game). When I pick up the phone this time I made the music quieter. Much like in the scenario how one would lower or mute the volume if speaking on the phone. I’m feeling a lot more inspired about where I want this to go and look forward to experimenting a bit more for the audio project. Even without voice recording, I do like how the audio chosen does tell a story. All Audio found on Freesound.com!
