3D Project

Name: DAVID

FALL 2025

Used Tinkercad

I was definitely excited to try my hand at making David, and I will say im proud of myself, I think they could be cousins. The hardest part was the hair because I could not find anything that would work until I came across a chainmail/link that I just copied and pasted a dozen times or so, although unfortunately it appears he is balding in the back.

The first thing that popped in my head when I read what this project was about isss (drum roll pleasee) Michelangelo’s DAVIIIIDDD!!! I recently found out this statue is much larger than I thought it was and I wanted to do something with anatomy because I think that would be an interesting challenge to create with basic shapes!

Website draft

I honestly thought about doing something with my towns history but that seemed really advanced and political so I moved on to something that fit better with the choose your own adventure theme! I love horror games so I think I may do something with on of the ghost stories of my town. we have an old state orphanage in town thats really creepy, and then we also have some creepy stories from out in the corn fields. theres really nothing lik staring into the abyss of rows and rows of corn with glowing eye staring back at you, not being sure if its a deer, coyote or something much worse. I also wanted to use one of my image assignments because that was also made because I was homesick!

I will have to add some pictures and make them super big so that it really feels like you are on the outskirts of town!

Definitely going to add some great pictures of Owatonnna, probably at night in Central Park; we also have a bunch of old buildings that would be good.

Title: did you escape?

Fall 2025

I used Sublime text and Github

I tried to make something of a horror game. I’m from Owatonna, MN, and we have a TON of ghost stories, so that’s where I took inspiration from! I went on Creative Commons and surprisingly found photos from Owatonna. I suppose Owatonna always did have a lot of photographers for a town of 2,000 people (it was actually 25,000, but it felt like 200). But we get our county fair right in the middle of town, which is where the Pronto Pups picture is from, and everyone in a 30-mile radius would come to join in on the festivities.

I really wanted to make the website game like so, I ended up making it so that if you chose the “town” option, you would have the choice of starting over or the button of “uh-oh”, and from that point on, you had only one button to press, which was labeled “Did you escape?”.

I mainly knew I wanted to incorporate storytelling in some way into this project, I also can’t wait for winter break so I can play skyrim (I’ve banned myself from even looking at my PC/consoles) so I took some light inspiration from the intro scene, with the horse, and then I thought rain would add some nice ambiance. My arch-nemesis in Skyrim is most definitely the Trolls so I decided to incorporate that as well. Most of the sounds I used came from Freesound while browsing. I ended up using 7 sound samples and then I created my own voice over. I am quite monotone and stuffed up because I HAVE BEEN SO SICK but I really enjoyed the process and find my audio hilarious, my friends have also been getting a kick out of it. So everyone, please enjoy the character getting wrecked by a troll as I narrate.
