The Kiss 3D Sculpture

For my design, I was inspired by the famous LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana. Indiana first created this sculpture in 1970 in Indianapolis, and since then it has been recreated and displayed in many places, including New York City. I based my sculpture on this work but created my own interpretation using simple geometric shapes in Tinkercad.

While designing this piece, one of the most challenging parts was making sure all of the shapes were evenly sized and properly aligned so the sculpture would stand correctly in three dimensions. At first, some of the shapes appeared flat, but I adjusted the width and depth so the design could feel more like a real sculpture rather than a flat image.

The Kiss (3D Model inspiration)

For my 3D model, I decided to take inspiration from “The Kiss” by Constantin Brâncuși (1907–08). Wikipedia+1 I chose this sculpture because it uses simple, geometric forms while still clearly showing two people embracing. Since the sculpture is carved from a block-like shape, it’s a good match for Tinkercad, where I can build the main form with basic shapes and create details using cutouts.

Pokémon World – Choose Your Own Adventure

For this project, I created a 5-page interactive HTML story inspired by classic Pokémon starter adventures. Each page contains narrative text, navigation links, and Creative Commons–licensed images downloaded from Wikimedia Commons.

I used proper <figure> and <figcaption> structure to provide attribution for each image according to CC licensing guidelines. I also added a responsive layout and styled the pages using a custom CSS file with hover effects, a centered container card, and mobile-friendly adjustments.

Links between the pages allow the user to choose different story paths, including Pikachu’s forest route, Charmander’s rocky trail, and a Bulbasaur encounter leading to the ending.

First Website Draft Updated + CSS

For this week’s update, I added CSS to my Pokémon website to make it look cleaner and more put together. I created a shared stylesheet and connected it to all of my pages so everything has the same colors, layout, and navigation bar. I also added styled headers for each Pokémon page and made the links look nicer and whatnot. I’m still deciding if I want to change the colors later, but overall I like how it came out and it feels more organized than the first version.

First Draft Website

For this draft, I played around with HTML to make a small Pokémon-themed website. It was hard trying to figure it out for a bit but I did manage to create a simple page where you can click different links and go to little “paths” for different Pokémon. It was my first time using Sublime Text and GitHub Pages, so honestly getting everything to show up correctly felt like the real assignment.

Title: Brooklyn Cafe

Adobe Photoshop

Wanted to continue improving and messing with the colors of a cafe I really like so I adjusted the gradients and put a pattern on the Brooklyn text to go for a more advertisement look.

Composite Image

The current image has no alternative text. The file name is: Composition-Picture-CSmith.png

Here’s my composite image for today. I combined the inside of one of Brooklyn’s infamous Coffee Shops, Devoción Coffe, and added one of my favorite protagonist, Gojo, from a series called “Jujutsu Kaisen” aswell.

Abstract Wall Composition

For my abstract composition, I wanted to keep it simple and show the view I see every time I come home in this beautiful city New York. A simple 2 building apartment complex.
