Update on my project – Players can now choose to go back home or keep going. You can also tag more than once if you’re feeling risky. I added images and variables to make the game more interactive.

A Strange Place v2

I created images in my drawing program and edited the text in the game so it doesn’t feel like its dragging on with the use of variables.

Twine progress

I added images to my Twine story so players can better experience the gameplay.

My Twine Project – Week 2

In my twine project it still carries the same story as the last post with a few more fleshed out options. I added a Boolean to the beginning option as it decides how the player will move forward in the story.

I added several loops back to the beginning to make it easier for the player to restart after an ending.

Twine 2 Progress

This interactive story uses variables to track the player’s choices and change the narrative. A sign above the doors hints that one door may be deceptive. Depending on whether the player reads the sign or ignores it, the blue door leads either to a narrow hallway or to a bright outside. Each choice affects the ending, creating a dynamic experience.

twine project week 2

For week 2, I added lots of options and endings in with you dying by different monsters. also tried out adding images to some options.

HyTek Solutions – Twine – Week 2

With the visual style sorted away, I have established the premise of the adventure. Inspired by the Dystopian themes found in many games like Fallout and Cyberpunk 2077. A massive corporation controls and treats its employees like cattle, and you are another cog in the machine.

In HyTek Solutions the player takes on the role of a new employee in a dystopian corporate oversight position. Your job is to make decisions on various situations in the form of “Tickets.” But be aware, HyTek Solutions’ Management system is run by an advanced AI: Cortex, who is evaluating your actions. Will you be a good little corporate dog? Balance your job with doing the right thing? Or will you seek to upend the system entirely?

The game keeps track of a few variables in the background as part of “Cortex” evaluating performance. While your interaction with the world is through your work terminal, glitches occur and a secret underground resistance group is acting in the background. You may end up unwittingly helping and subsequently being recruited by them as their “man on the inside.”

Ultra Racer – Twine

Here is my twine progress so far. I am currently working up to including a few more rough sketches to add details for the story.
