This week’s progress in a nutshell. Fight with Godot on getting a signal to work. Well, turns out the way I built my HUD and items is not drop in compatible with the provided scripts, so I had to build a quick message bus into the global script, and manually send/listen for the signals for when items are collected.
Still working on additional level layouts and thinking of making it so the goal post only lights up green when you have the required item to enter for a good visual cue to the player that they can’t go through.

This is my second week working on a Godot game; I’ve added collectibles and “enemies.”

This is Godot blog post 1 and 2! I was working with making a platform-like game with street poles but went an entirely different route by making a rough exterior of a supermarket. Soon to add cars, trees, an entrance and exit for the supermarket. This will be a horror esc game where you are a burglar in a supermarket trying to escape from a supermarket robot.

I want to create a dreamcore atmosphere scene. First, I built the scene in Blender and then imported it into Godot. Next week, I’ll add materials and maybe expand the scene a bit.
Godot – week 1
I don’t have much for my game, as I just started everything this evening due to a busy week. I want to make an adventure or exploration game whee you walk around on a beach. I had an idea for a curved area near some water with palm trees. However, i’m not sure how to create curved objects or even make grass!
I was following a shader tutorial; however, nothing worked out, as my plane was pitch black. I’m planning on designing objects in Blender to import within the project.
I would love help with turning my idea into a real area!



Godot – week 1


This is my first Godot project, and I haven’t decided on the direction I will take with the game yet, but it will most likely be a simple forest with enemies chasing the player.

My Godot game is loosely inspired by early first person games where progression is gated behind finding and collecting different keycards. In this early stage represented by colored cubes. The level layouts will be mostly indoor like stages with somewhat maze like layouts and platforming sections.

Here is my process in Godot so far. I created a few platforms and added some trees for scenery, which has helped me get a better idea of how I want the game to look.
