Although I haven’t gotten any feedback for my game yet, a critique that I would give myself would be to make the game more expansive. I originally wanted there to be multiple different endings but instead I chose something a little more linear. You’ll see my original creative choice to make the game more expansive like when trying to enter through door that you don’t have access to.
Hope you have fun with the game!

Play on Itch.io here: Slime gets the mail! by RedMage Gaming
Player response to the game was positive and encouraging across the board. The day-to-night transition, as well as the different snippets accompanying the pieces of mail collected in the game were the most talked about parts that players enjoyed. Players also enjoyed the character and world design, with one referring to the Slime’s design and animation as “super cute” while another noted the use of multiple tiles being used to create larger designs. The transitions from room to room were also praised.
Overall, I feel really good about the feedback I received here from this small game. The limitations that Bitsy places on game design and features makes you really think about how to convey the story you want to tell. I’m glad my little adventure was an enjoyable experience for those that played. Thank you for taking the time to play and leave feedback.

Based on the feedback from my classmates, many people liked the visual design of my game, especially the color palette and the overall atmosphere. Some also noticed the inspiration from The Legend of Zelda, including the Owl character and the idea of collecting crystals from different temples.
However, classmates pointed out that the items, like the key and the crystals, are not currently connected to the game logic, so the player can reach the ending without collecting them. There were also some issues with room transitions that allowed players to skip certain parts of the game.
Since the game is still in development, I plan to connect the items to the gameplay and fix the room exits so the player cannot bypass important parts of the game.

People enjoyed the story, but it could be longer. They also enjoyed the animated sprites alongside the spooky theme. One piece of feedback that’s really important was that dialogue didn’t change, so the 2 planned endings weren’t working as planned.

I had fun making this! My favorite part of using Bitsy was using clever ways to make fun sprites, like with the moon or the house I have down below.
This game is about Batrica, a bat lady who helps a ghost get partygoers for their strange graveyard rave of some sort. It’s a 2-minute adventure game and is very linear! Thank you!

Warning! The following content contains game spoilers! This is for those who want to continue playing despite my direction flaws!
At first, you must get the sword to continue the game. Then you can continue by following the path. The path is shaped like a flower.

Here are the directions to enter to the next rooms:

When you meet the cat, to continue, all you need to do is finish every conversation with the cat until it teleports you to the next room.

Once you have finished the conversation in your reading room, the color of the room will change and a door will open. You can exit and talk to the angel to finish the game.

Again! Warning! The following content contains more game spoilers! This is for those who want to reach to the Secret Ending!
To reach the Secret Ending, you don’t need to get the sword, but you need to go inside to your chest to get a gold.
Then you need to talk to the devil to exchange it for a potion. After that, you can go to the bed, it will teleport you to the next room. Both beds will work.

Here are the two puzzle rooms, and both use the same hint.
For the room on the left picture, you just walk one step at a time.
For the room on the right picture, you shouldn’t move except for walking downward. Otherwise, you need to go to bed again.
This time, walk all the way until you hit the wall each time.

Just straight up to talk to the boss.

After the teleportation, you are free to explore as much as you like, although only these three maps have content.

Once you are done exploring, you can talk to the boss or simply go to sleep to trigger the ending.

Thank you for playing and watching the post! I hope you all enjoy the game!

I added more rooms and dialogue to the game. I’ve also been fixing some of my previous designs so it’s more visually appealing. There are mini goals that have been added to the game too.

Thanks for the feedback! People enjoyed interacting with the frog NPCs. Some players said they wish there were more levels.

This is what my Bitsy game looks like so far, I’m still working on creating more characters and items, however coding in Bitsy is a little different and difficult.
