Introduction to Video Game Design

Here is my scene so far. I decided on making a game like Mirror’s Edge, where you are running on top of buildings with some platforming.

Here is my Micro Studio platforming game, Deadline. Collect the coins, hearts, attack & speed boost to help destroy and avoid the bots. There is one level; the first is left-to-right. I had a lot of fun working on the sprites for this project. My favorite sprite I made is the floating round bot I called “Breaker”.

Here is my progress for my Godot game so far. I am currently placing platforms and trees together, while figuring out the next possible level layout for this scene.
In the feedback, players loved the game’s art style, especially in level two. The level two design was praised for platform placement. However, some players wished there were more obstacles.
Considering there were other players felt that level two was already difficult. I suggest adding a new level with new design to provide the additional challenge.

This is Part 1 of my game, Amelie’s Dilemma. You play as Amelie, a girl with no memories who only knows she has to find something important. As you move forward, you’ll go through different challenges and keep exploring to figure out what’s going on.

This is the game I built, named ” Run from the Witch”. In this game, I designed an alpaca character who is running from the witches’ lair. The player must avoid ghosts, a wolf, and shadow ducks, as well as the pits. Then I created a life system representing the smiling faces.

after posting my game, i didnt really get any feedback, but if i was to get any i think it would be about the enemies. theres only one in game and it doesn’t hurt you. if i was to fix anything it would be that and so much more. but i am very proud how the pixel art came out for it.

Here is my published microStudio game: https://lexcmorgan.itch.io/my-mirostudio-game
I appreciate the feedback I received on this, such as the ones about my character design. Others suggested differentiating the levels and changing the placement of the sun in the background so the player is more visible. If I continued developing this game, I would focus on changing the levels more and probably increasing the difficulty. I would also change the position of the sun or at least create more contrast between the player and the background.
My microStudio game by MichelleLugo ^^link
This is my microStudio game! It features a tattooed girl surviving in a dystopian world. To give it a more edgy vibe, I used spray paint cans as collectible coins. I also designed a creepy bug enemy that can hunt you down and eat you. I haven’t received any feedback yet but I hope you enjoy!
