I wanted to create a simple rhythmic animation without much movement. I actually had some trouble getting the pulsing effect to work while keeping the object centered.

Nice work, this looks good. I think the centering issue is because the ball is inside a symbol and is offset from the center, so the animation is scaling the symbol and the ball is scaling from the corner. You can open the symbol and reposition the back to the center and it will scale more evenly.
