Audio Project Final

Fireworks in Brooklyn

Fall 2025

Adobe Audition

I wanted to reflect back on my experience of seeing the Macys Fireworks. As you can imagine, it’s a very hectic experience with the obvious loud fireworks, kids screaming and crying, people chatting and clapping every five seconds and of course you can’t forget the lovely sounds of New York City. I wanted my project to show the craziness of an event like the Macys Fourth of July fireworks. I used my own firework video that I recorded with my iphone and four audio samples from freesound.com. I played around with a lot of effects such as time and speed, compressing, reverb, the show envelopes, fade in and out, and panning. The most challenging part of the project was trying to get everything to flow and come together. To solve that, I just kept on adding and removing things when I saw fit until I got to my desired outcome.
