For my perspective, it would be very different and amazing if it had more layers in this drawing, in my point of view. Like many horror films, it has a dark tone when it comes to ghosts and mysticism that every individual was seeing during the late periods. And also, the way Gaspard demonstrate has pushed the boundary in a artistic way.

If I were to watch one of Gaspard Robertson’s “Fantasmagorie” shows in 1797, I feel that I would be absolutely amazed when seeing the ghosts appear. I normally feel a little anxious when it comes to ghosts but I have always been fascinated by visual effects used in shows and rides. In modern times, I usually feel the same way when it comes to amusement park attractions, specifically haunted houses. An example of this could be The Haunted Mansion at Disney World because it uses similar effects to portray the visual of ghosts but in a way that is more technologically advanced.

It would have been amazing and exciting to be a part of an audience at one of Gaspard Robertson’s “Fantasmagorie” shows in 1797. It would be scary and fascinating at the same time to see ghosts appear. I think theatre shows like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will evoke the same emotions today as it also deals with fantasy and magical story.

Prompt 3

If I was to watch one of Gaspard Robertson’s “Fantasmagorie” shows in 1797, I believe I would be scared and actually believe that the creatures were there. Being there in the dark with no idea of when I would be scared by the creatures would make me tense and frightened. In modern times, there are horror movies that would also make me have the same reaction as well. An example would be the horror film “Paranormal Activity”, which was shown in theaters in 2007. It’s a supernatural horror movie that usually takes place in a home and as if it was recorded from night vision cameras. The film instills terror in the audience by using the fear of the unknown in the dark against them. People feel tense when they watch the movie, from the unsettling music and the fear of when something will jump out and scare them

If I have been to Gaspard Robertson’s “Fantasmagorie” I think I would enjoy other people getting terrified because I am not that easy to scare I would be excited to see the show and I would definitely be laughing at other people’s reactions. If I ever got scared I would relate the emotions to the haunted houses during fright fest event.
