Summary

Armand did not like the fact that the child looked as though it was of African American ancestry and shunned both the infant and Desiree. After things become too much to handle for Desiree, Armand banishes her and the baby to never be seen again in the town. He fell in love with Desiree without considering her origin. I think Armand would shock and embarrass them by how he treated and hated them because of their race only to find out his mother’s background of being of relating African American. After knowing this, I think I will go and apologize he hated them not only because he found out he is related but for the wrong thing he did.
