In Week G, we will focus on two units of study: Unit 12: Introduction to Human Resources & Unit 13: Motivating Employees

In Unit 12: Introduction to Human Resources, we will explore the HR function and seek to understand the importance, structure, and responsibilities of Human Resources. There are several aspects of HR we will identify and discuss: staffing, training and professional development, safety, benefits & compensation, diversity & inclusion, and employee and labor relations — we already learned a bit about employee relations when we discussed Ethics earlier in the semester..

In Unit 13: Motivating Employees we will explore the psychology behind human behavior and motivation. We will identify the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and discuss the positives and limitations of each.
