Audio update with effects

(Blog Post 4)

For my audio updates, I made use of the effects and filters. I used a low-pass EQ filter on the end of the track to sound like the person/listener has walked into another room. I also used an echo effects as well on the first track. Lastly, I used the fade out effect on ends of all the tracks as well to make it more realistic.

Creative Brief

MMP 100 Final project creative brief

Giuliana Bravo

A very short happy true story.

Story summary

This is the story of a little girl from Peru who grew up with very little. She spent her days in nature, where she felt safe and free to dream. Her biggest dream wasn’t about money or possessions, it was to have a family, a home full of love.

As she grew up, life remained hard. Her partner left, and she was left to raise her child alone. But through it all, she found happiness, not in what she had, but in love, resilience, and the small, beautiful moments that made life worth living.

Media

Images (Photoshop):

I will use three images: two created specifically for this story, and a third one previously made in class, used as a reflective closing piece.

Audio (Audacity):

I will create two audio tracks: they will use voice narration of the story and background music to accompany the visuals.

Style

The style will be reflective, hopeful, and minimal.
The visual palette will include soft tones: light pink and green, sky blue, lavender and peach. The goal is to evoke warmth, peace, and quiet strength.

Software

Photoshop – for creating original images

Audacity – to record and mix narration with background music

Sublime Text – to write and edit HTML + CSS

GitHub Pages – to publish the final website

Audio Edits (Blog post 3 revised)

I previously did the audio project incorrectly so I am revisiting it.

For my audio, I wanted to depict a Jazz bar/club. I used Audacity to edit and compose, and I used five different audios. I used two different tracks of people talking to add depth and blended them together by adjusting the EQ and volume. I also used two different foley effects of glasses clinking and pouring to add to the setting sporadically throughout the track.

Creative Brief- City Tour Final

Imani Arias

City Tour

Story summary

My story begins with me visiting a childhood friend of mine (Sam the black caterpillar) in her NYC apartment. Being so amazed at the size and proximity to nature, I asked Sam to show me around NYC through her eyes. We went on a tour around the city, and in the end, I thank her. Along the way I got Sam to record fun city facts.

Media

The media I will use in my story will involve the images of Sam (the caterpillar) and I going around NYC. Included, I will use audio of Sam recording facts for the viewer.

Style

The style of my site will be simple, and I will tell the audience of my time, and they will follow along with me.

Software

I will be using GitHub, Sublime Text, Adobe Photoshop, and Audacity for my website.

Final Project

I decided to a pick your own music genre type of website, i was orginally going to make it an interactive story game where you could enter a music store and pick whichever song you would like but I realized how complicated the coding was so I decided to do a normal website instead.

Creative Brief

First and last name: Mahinalani Onekea

Project title: Plan your vacation!

Story summary

My story will allow the user to “plan” a vacation. The beginning/home page will ask you to begin, the second will allow you to pick a climate, and the following page will determine where you end up and information on that area.

Media

The media I plan to use are mostly visuals. I will have an image on the homepage. The decision page will contain at least two images each and possibly an audio or hyperlink directing you to a website with more information (there will be four outcomes, so at least eight images in total throughout the story).

Style

The overall style of my website will be fun, creative, and sleek for easy navigation and legibility. I want to use a muted, blue, brown and orange color palette, as I feel like it reflects the adventurous tone I am going for, while keeping that sleek, modern theme. (Example below) I think I will reuse the font I used on my final website because I really liked how it looked.

Software

HTML, Sublime, CSS, and GitHub to publish.

Final Project

https://shawnyleon.github.io/garden-html

For my final project I made a blog on how to garden in the city. I show tips and tricks to grow in your back yard or where ever you have space. I used Audio of myself recording a podcast using Audacity, which also includes a musical background. As well as all original pictures that I took of my own garden which I then edit it on Photoshop. Bellow is the only outside source that I used.
