Animation Final Project

Spring 2025

Adobe Animate

I animated the feeling of gratitude. I used a palette of pinks and greens, and ended with a blue. I wanted it to have a warm and soft visual quality. I hope it expresses a level of tenderness, and emotional resonance. I had the word gratitude, abstract forms, and flower like shapes float across different areas throughout the animation to represent moving through gratefulness. Conveying gratitude through elements expanding, unfolding, and shifting. I also used a piano track I recorded in GarageBand to add another layer to the emotion.

Depression

Spring 2025

Software: Adobe Animate

I animated my depiction of how I observed people who were depressed around me. I often notice they try to imitate an overly joyous personality to get a break from their broken sad state. My biggest challenge was overcoming my personal relationship with depression to provide a bigger message for those who may need it!

My Animation draft

I am animating depression and how many people cope with it. It is a very deep message on how many people decide to cope with depression.

My first Animation

Hi, this is the first animation I have created. I created this animation using Adobe Animate and using the shape tool with the Poly Star shape. Hope you enjoy!

My Final Audio Project

Channel 7 News Station by Richard Bygrave (Spring 2025):

I used Audacity to complete my Audio Project. A dream of mines when I was young was to be a News reporter, this dream came because of the movie I am imitating within the Script, “A Cloudy chance of meatballs”. I used 5 different sounds that came together to make up my project, these included two different audios to build the introduction sounds, I used a breaking noise sounds, and I have a background soundtrack that fades in at the end to signal the end of the audio. Lastly, I used my own voice to contribute to the project by being the News Reporter and the Weatherman. I think the hardest part of this project was having the creativity to figure out if I wanted to do it and if I even wanted to continue the project after hitting a writer’s block.

My Audio with Effects

This is my recorded audio from last week. I added a faster tempo to the beginning of my speech as well as to the end before the sound track plays. I wanted to add a bit of speed to these parts because I originally decided to slow it down for dramatic effect. I also adjusted the bass and tremble of my voice saying Breaking News, I think this added a cleaner effect to the overlapping voices.

I used lines and circles shapes to create stick figures playing baseball to show my love for the sport. I always wanted to do something like this and hopefully I can make a better one in the future.

Emotion Animation Project

Anger!
Spring 2025
Adobe Animate

This animation represents my view on anger, and how it is ultimately short lived, having an event that sets it off like a fuse leading to the ultimate explosion that releases the emotion.

I used a combination of motion tweens, symbols and frame by frame animations alongside one another to compile this somewhat short representation of the emotion.

I was unable to correct the strange desync from my draft so to work around it I used the motion tween of the pencil to rewrite the word along its path. This kept the majority of my drafts work intact to complete the animation as a whole.
