This website is a story choice game about someone trying to shake off a serious case of boredom. Nothing seems to help until they start exploring the weirdest, most unexpected ways to entertain themselves. What starts with a simple decision quickly turns into a wild ride through totally different storylines. One moment you’re opening the fridge, the next you’re in space or battling microwave fleets. Every choice leads somewhere new, strange, or surprisingly funny. It’s all about escaping boredom… no matter how ridiculous the path might be.

I created this website to raise awareness for declawing cats. I allow the person to put themselves in cats’ shoes to see how they would want to live life. Declawing is something I am passionately against and think it should be banned! In my website, after you choose, there is a scenario where the cat got out and a dog chases it. In the clawed version the cat can easily climb the tree to safety. In the declawed version the cat cannot. This is just one example of what can happen to a cat if you take away its claws. Hopefully this little website will bring awareness to this situation!

A Very Short Happy True Story

Spring 2025

Created with CSS/HTML, GitHub, Photoshop and Audacity

For this final project, I chose to tell a simple but meaningful story, inspired by an image I had created in a previous class. I used my own drawings to keep the piece personal and selected a soft pastel color palette to bring tenderness and warmth to the narrative. The background music includes excerpts from a personal composition that incorporates elements of Peruvian music, helping to reflect the cultural identity and emotional depth of the story. I hope that those who experience this piece feel a bit more hopeful, and are reminded that happiness can exist even in difficult times. The most challenging part was recording the narration, as my environment isn’t very quiet, so I decided to use an AI-generated voice to tell the story. I also had some difficulty finding a background image with a Creative Commons license, but eventually found one and edited it using color balance, curves, and other adjustments to match the tone of each drawing.

Music and draws are original.

Blissfulness. Animation

Blissfulness

Spring 2025

For this Project I decided to make my animation about the emotion Blissfulness. Ever since Ive been in California life has been hectic but what has continuously grounded me is going on bike rides in the morning. When I do I feel a sense of peace, hope and getting out and moving my body in the sun makes me feel very grateful for life and connected to God. it puts me inn a state of Blissfulness.

City Tour

Software used: GitHub, Adobe photoshop, Audacity, and Sublime Text

This story is about me exploring the world of NYC through the eyes of one of its most popular communities: Bugs! I got the idea after talking to my childhood friend (Sam the caterpillar). I chose my mediums because I wanted the audience to experience the journey too. So I included Photoshop and Audacity to create a visual and audio experience, like a museum. The background helps keep focus on the text, visual and audio with how neutral it is. It was quite challenging for me to do the embedding portion as I would keep getting my files mixed up because there was more to keep track of. In the end, I learned more about embedding code and more about the city through the eyes of a bug!

Audio Project Jasmines Prayer Final

Spring 2025

Audacity/ English

My piece tells the story of a woman who, on a dark and rainy night, cries out to God, longing to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and reconnect with herself. By morning, her heart is touched, and her worries have transformed into sweet surrender. I combined five audio samples, four beats and one original song titled “Alter Call,” performed by my cousin Jasmine Tiamfook and written by me. I used sound effects to create an atmospheric mood and blend the rain with the vocals. The most challenging part was syncing the audio with the video in Premiere Pro, which I overcame by using time stamps and carefully aligning each sound with patience.

Audio Project

“Headed home from the Jazz bar” Spring 2025

(My audio file was not able to fit in open lab as a playable media, hence the download option, sorry!)

Made with Audacity.

For my final audio project, the place I decided to depict was a Jazz bar because they have a charming ambiance. The listener is sat at a table before walking out and leaving. I used seven audio samples in total. First using the volume adjuster and clipping the first five tracks where I wanted them. On my second edit I added another track, the walking and door foley effect. I used filters and effects in this edit as well; the fade out, low-pass filter, echo, and reverb. I finalized my mix using the automation tool to add final touches, smoothing out transitions and fades, and leveled the volume where needed. I decided to add a final track at this time to add more heel clicks/stepping sounds when the listener “leaves the bar.” The most challenging part of this project was finding audio clips that fit my vision and then trimming them to sound how I wanted.

Audio update with effects

(Blog Post 4)

For my audio updates, I made use of the effects and filters. I used a low-pass EQ filter on the end of the track to sound like the person/listener has walked into another room. I also used an echo effects as well on the first track. Lastly, I used the fade out effect on ends of all the tracks as well to make it more realistic.
