I have spent my past couple of weeks obsessing over Minecraft and nature documentaries. I have been looking towards longer forms of calm entertainment, and I have landed on nature documentaries and Minecraft- creative mode (easy). I’ve been very busy recently, so to ground myself, I always go back to my simple pleasures. This is a combination of the two.
So for this image, My theme is Marvel and DC superheroes cause I love superheroes. What I did was, I’ve chosen Thor from Marvel and Flash from DC, I put a DC background cause in this image they are fighting each other. And then I pit a black and white filter cause it is cool.
I decided to make a little nature collage with my favorite K-pop group named “Red Velvet!” I added some of my own shapes and implemented some halftone effects to give some texture to the images I cut. Some other effects I used was the Hue/Sat adjustment layers. I created a border with some flowers which is my favorite part of this image.

I decided to further enhance the image I composited together of a monkey sitting on a tree with a snake found in a rainforest. While I think the composite highlights the diversity of the rainforest, it is also a personal representation of my job at the Bronx Zoo, where one of the star attractions, Jungle World, also features monkeys and snakes. I decided to update the image with a more upbeat and welcoming vibe, utilizing the gradient map tool, ellipse tool, and an original pattern to accomplish this.
Music and love—what else? Inspired by John Lennon’s iconic song All You Need Is Love, I used a layer mask on the guitar and blending modes to fuse a mandala image into the instrument. The background was posterized to create a painted effect, blending seamlessly with the composition. Seashells, enhanced with bold gradient maps, complete the vibrant psychedelic theme.
Because I am a Pisces, I am often inspired by the ocean. I added an image of Ariel to my under the ocean background. For my font, I created a pattern of waves crashing to demonstrate what occurs above sea. I kept the gradient natural, but I used levels to adjust the brightness of Ariel and the sea.
i added a cat into an image of a caucasian Dog in a snow. I Wanted to give the Dog a friend to hang out with in the snow but it’s always obvious that Cat and a Dod always will have issues when they are together, that’s why the Dog is thinking ” Best Friend But Always a Problem”. i used a gradient adjustment and posterized filter to create a non-photorealistic look.
For my “first” photoshop composite I wanted to use colors I don’t usually use so I landed on pink. I decided to layer and move multiple shapes around until I got a composition I liked. I used the multiply and other layering effects to get this monochrome picture with the colors overlapping.
In order to complete my final project, I reused the image I created last week in Photoshop. I created a pattern using some common elements from a popular anime “Naruto”, and I decided to add the words “Beat the Heat” because the setting of the image is a hot desert. The original background of the desert and camel was generated by AI.
For this project I used an image of an mma octagon and photoshopped myself into it. I like mma and martial arts in general so it inspired me to base my project off of it.
