Hello in the group of Minna, Li, and Mya. I went into the library and found a book on memory. I found the book by going into the one search database and typing in the main topic i was trying to find. I found this book. “The memory illusion” which caught my attention and i think dives into what we spoke about in class today.
Hello in the group of Minna, Li, and Mya. I found out about the podcast booth, which can be reserved for all of your recording needs. Chris Lopez, the librarian went into detail about how it can be used to interviews, podcast, and anything you need to vocally record. It is also sound proof.
For equipment loans and research help you can visit the front desk at the library and can get you any device you need and any help you need.
For a source of cults and the Central Park five you can go to the computers and search up any book on the topic.
For the study room you can find them in the back of the library.
My helpful librarian was Chris.

I was assigned to investigate the study space It is a quiet area to give students Their space and time to collect their minds and focus and to do their homework. In the study space, you don’t need Your ID you can just walk in However you do need your ID number if you want to enter the study room. The resources that it Has are They have moderating Connected to the computers. So, if you have a presentation, you can Use it to help with your presentation. Therefore, they also have speakers connected to the computers if you want to listen to music and vibe out while doing your homework. They have outlets for you to charge your phone or computer. It’s also very big, so on the left side there’s a lot of computers and there’s a desk that has something like Shields. So, nobody could look into what you’re doing. You have your own privacy. There’s a lot of them on the right and left side. There’s also chairs like sitting chairs and comfortable lounge chairs. In the farther back there is a library classroom that has desk and computers. And Other than that, there’s also a large group study room. I believe you Would need your ID to be allowed to go in there.
All of this is located on the 4th floor in the main building The large group study hall. It’s on the farther back and you will see on the left side it would say large group Study room S410N and for the library classroom. It’s on the same side. It’s just when you’re walking. You’re going to take a left. And just keep going straight and you’ll see it on the left side it was say library classroom S410M. Also, when you walk into the library, you’re going to take a, I believe left You’re going to keep going straight, and then you’re going to take a right and you will also see. More study space for you to do your homework and assignments. And there is also a bathroom, so if you need to use the bathroom, the bathrooms are close by too, and the windows are big too, so you will get a lot of light.
The loan of equipment is at reception and you can ask and they will help you with whatever you need.
Research help is where the computers are located or in reception.
A source about cults is in the catalog in there you can search for information on computers.
Chris is a very friendly librarian who helped us find all the places and showed us how to use the computer and the library.

3. Computer Access
Inside the main building of Bmcc’s library is where you can gain computer access to use the internet. How can you access the internet on the computer? The librarian Chris explained that all you need is your bmcc student email along with the password then you’re all set and can search anything that you need or print out any important papers/documents.
This is the printer area in the library, where students can make copies for free, with even a provided computer area, if the student is unable to provide one for themselves.

In group A, with Nelly, Ciara and Imari, I was responsible for finding a helpful librarian . For the helpful librarian, I chose Chris Lopez. He is a digital literacy librarian, he loves comics and graphic novels, and he has a background in religious studies and programming.

In group A, with Nelly, Ciara and Imari, I also had to find a source about memory or memory tests. For this, I found a book titled, “Memories are made of this: how memory works in humans and animals” by Rusiko Bourtchouladze. The image is a screenshot of the book, not present at BMCC but in other school libraries such as CUNY Graduate Center and John Jay College.

In the main building, on the fourth floor, I explored the library’s dedicated study space. This quiet area offers students a conducive environment for independent study and information review. It comprises a comfortable sofa section, a spacious communal table area, as well as individual study cubicles.

A helpful librarian that my class had the pleasure of being introduced to was Chris. When speaking to Chris a conversation regarding AI was sparked and he told me that he knows tools that can protect creators from experiencing AI theft. So, if your a creator- speak to Chris and he can offer you help to protect your work.
