Introduction to Multimedia
Hello Mr. Roberts and MMP classmates! This my first actual drawing on Photoshop, I’m more familiar with a program called “Clip Studio Paint” but surprisingly PS and CSP are quiet the same. I enjoyed exploring the shape tool and brushes, the tools are more easier to wrap your head around compared to other art/photography programs.
This is my first time using photoshop. For this image I created a sort of toy style phone machine from the overlapping of element shapes and colors of blue, red, yellow, green, orange and to end with black.
This is my Composition that i created in photoshot. this is my first time using the app, i chose this colors because they represent where i come from which is Ghana and i am very proud to be able to share it with you.
This is the first time I’ve made a composition image as well as my first time using photoshop. I used a blend of colors to create this image.
This was my very first time using the photoshop software, so the image in my head is not exactly duplicative of this composition. However, I’m pretty pleased with the final product. I had the idea of smoke contrasting flames. I began with adding shapes like the keyhole and the line. Then I experimented with the flames, which took me awhile to figure out. The smoke is just a gradience I created switching between different levels of brightness and contrast.
This is the first time I have used Photoshop since the changeover from a perpetual license to a subscription service. Just a simple composition of fire made from shapes using the pen tool, a few selections of yellow/orange and red, and unique blending selections for each of the inner shapes. I wanted to keep it fairly simple as a first composition for this class as it’s been a significant time since I last even considered using photoshop.

This is my abstract composition!
I began with a light mustard color background and on top of that created a gradient with darker yellow and red. I adjusted the color balance, I then used the brush tool and painted two lines to add a sense of space. (those two lines are now mostly covered, but visible in the top right of the image as well as the bottom where they emerge from behind the white square) I made another gradient but only on the left side of the image, I chose a dark red to create contrast and divide the composition. I used the same brush that I used for the two lines to add texture on top of the dark red gradient and then I used the smudge tool to mix some of the colors. I also used a layer mask on the gradient layer and adjusted the density and feather. The frontmost shape is a rectangle with a water pattern fill. I wanted to have a contrast between sharp and rounded edges. I smudged the rectangle to blur the texture of the water pattern fill and to soften the edges which resulted in a more dynamic shape, I also tilted the rectangle so it is a bit askew on top of the rest of the layers. I used the subtract blend so that the color of the water pattern would change and show on top of the white square. As I’m going through and adding layers I’m also altering the brightness, contrast, exposure, and hue/saturation.
This is my composition created in Photoshop. This is the first time I used Photoshop! I chose to use layer blending to create a blend of colors from a yellow and blue rectangle.
