Animation Project- Pain

Imani Arias- Spring 2025

For my final project I chose to animate the emotion: Pain. I chose the colors and shapes to resemble a girl stepping on a thumbtack and screaming “ow!” I tried to make it longer so that you can see what’s happening, Tween helped to make the transitions smoother. The most challenging part was making long enough frames to really capture its moment. It was more time intensive, animating wise, but it was very rewarding visually.

Final Animation Project: Sadness tween

Spring 2025

Program: Adobe Animate

I animated the emotion “Sadness.” I enjoyed playing around with the tween and motion parts of Adobe Animate. I attempted to animated my own text with my handwriting instead of utilizing the fonts to give myself more of a challenge. I think I will try to use Animate more for my animation projects instead of another program called “Procreate” I use on my iPad!

Envious Rectangle

Animation Final Project

Spring 2025

Adobe Animate

For my animation final project I decided to make an animation on how I envision envy. Envy is usually associated with the color green so I made sure to add green, however I added different shades of green such as light green and a dark green. I then added a rectangle jumping around the screen because envy can lead to anger or feel out of control.

Mother Nature

Spring 2025

Software: Adobe Animate

I animated an encapsulation of mother nature, the day and night cycle. I used Adobe Animate with motion tweens to capture the transition from day to night.

Handmade Spongebob

Spring 25

BMCC

MMP 100

I did some hand-painted figures. I also used few adobe assets for some shapes. I tried to use shape tweens to move spongebob’s legs. But couldn’t do it.

Depression

Spring 2025

Software: Adobe Animate

I animated my depiction of how I observed people who were depressed around me. I often notice they try to imitate an overly joyous personality to get a break from their broken sad state. My biggest challenge was overcoming my personal relationship with depression to provide a bigger message for those who may need it!

My Final Audio Project

Channel 7 News Station by Richard Bygrave (Spring 2025):

I used Audacity to complete my Audio Project. A dream of mines when I was young was to be a News reporter, this dream came because of the movie I am imitating within the Script, “A Cloudy chance of meatballs”. I used 5 different sounds that came together to make up my project, these included two different audios to build the introduction sounds, I used a breaking noise sounds, and I have a background soundtrack that fades in at the end to signal the end of the audio. Lastly, I used my own voice to contribute to the project by being the News Reporter and the Weatherman. I think the hardest part of this project was having the creativity to figure out if I wanted to do it and if I even wanted to continue the project after hitting a writer’s block.

my baseball animation

Untitled-4

I used lines and circles shapes to create stick figures playing baseball to show my love for the sport. I always wanted to do something like this and hopefully I can make a better one in the future.

Friendship Animation

I created a storyboard animating a ball creating a friend with another shape. I used Adobe Animate to create a classic tween to show both shapes moving other. I did this without the added gif and created this animation by scratch.

I also created a storyboard showing my animation. Overall I had fun doing this even though I was a little frustrating with some of the animation buttons lol.
