During the seminar, someone requested instructions for how to embed a Dropbox video in an OpenLab WordPress page or post:

• To get the video link, log in to your Dropbox account in a web browser, locate the video file, and click “copy link” (sometimes, I have to click “share” first).

As promised, here are times I will be available to help you with your OL WordPress sites, for June and July:

• This current week, I will be available at the end of the OP WP session to stay a full hour until 3:30 PM–that’s this week Tuesday and Thursday, June 22 and 24–plus the CETLS/E-Learning faculty hour on Wednesday (tomorrow), from 12:30-2 PM, which is June 23;
• Next week, I will be available on Wednesday), June 30, for the CETLS/E-Learning faculty hour from 12:30-2 PM;
• After that, I will be available for the CETLS/E-Learning faculty hours on
  • Wednesdays, 12:30-2 PM, July 7, 14, 21, and 28;
  • Thursdays, 1-2:30 PM, July 8, 15, 22, and 29.

As promised, here are instructions (originally from Tom) for the highly-requested sidebar menu widget to create weekly “folders,” like Celeste’s Eng 201 site:

• Dashboard > appearance > menus > edit menu > create a new menu > name it “Sidebar Menu” > create menu
• Widgets > navigation menu > right (or main, depending on theme) sidebar > select the “Sidebar Menu” that you created > type a title (e.g.,

1) dashboard > plugins > events manager > activate.

2) dashboard > events > settings > pages > event list/archives > [Display calendar in events page? choose yes] > save changes.
