Adobe Creative Cloud

We will be using Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe Animate and Adobe After Effects.

We can try to log into computers on campus to access the software if you do not have a computer or if the subscriptions end. This is not easy: if you are working from a Chromebook, please let me know and I will try and arrange for the school to loan you a computer. Here are instructions about how to log in remotely to computers on campus at BMCC. Here are instructions if you are using a Chromebook.

Blackboard

You will be handing in your authoring files (.fla, .aep and supporting materials) to Blackboard. I will put sample files on Blackboard, and also tutorials. And I will be posting all the Zoom invites there. Here’s some information about Blackboard on the BMCC website. Login to Blackboard using the credentials you use to login to CUNYFirst.

Zoom

Please make sure you have set up a Zoom account. Here’s a page on the BMCC website that explains how to set up an account.

YouTube or Vimeo

You will be uploading your animations to YouTube or to Vimeo and linking them to OpenLab. Make sure you create an account on Vimeo (https://vimeo.com/join) or Youtube (https://www.youtube.com) (Youtube is owned by Google so you can simply sign in with your existing Google account.

LinkedInLearning

You all have accounts on LinkedIn Learning. There may be some tutorials there that are helpful, for Adobe Animate and for After Effects. Login with your BMCC username and password (the same username and password you use for your BMCC email, or to log into the network when on campus.)

If you have an iPhone, you can scan from the Notes App that is part of the OS,

Dropbox

All students get a free Dropbox account, login with your CUNYfirst ID. Info is here.

Microsoft Office 365

Students also receive a free account to Microsoft Office. This includes a large amount of storage space on OneDrive. Info here.
