Project
Animating an emotion
Create an animation in Adobe Animate that uses abstract shapes, colors, and text to describe an emotion. You will start by creating a storyboard to plan your sequence – use this template. Use Adobe Animate to make an animation between 10 and 30 seconds long. Use tweens to animated properties like position, size, color, opacity and others. The animation should have a beginning, middle and end.
Upload the following to Brightspace:
- The Adobe Animate project file (.fla)

- Create an Open Lab post with the MP4 file embedded.
- Project statement
- Project title
- Semester and year created (Spring 2025)
