  1. During this week’s modules for ECE 209 Lecture and Seminar, I have learned about ways in which infant teachers can support a child’s cognitive development, the importance of ways infant teacher can promote readiness as well as being able to analyze ways in handling situations using touchpoints. These materials from these modules help and support me to meet my goals because I can use the knowledge I’ve gained to further support and protect the developing brains for infants and toddlers while creating a strong physical foundation for learning as well as being able enhance infant classrooms by giving families a chance to come together and form partnerships around the well being of the child while helping them move forward which will also allow me to now identify the influences that may impact infant behavior and development such as the relationships between the infant, the significant other in the infants life and the environment/cultural setting.

  2. This week I learned the different ways that infants develop their learning and ways they discover how to do things on their own. It gives me insight into my understanding about how even simple tasks have great impact on their learning and development. It will help me in implementing activities and in my interactions with my students to help understand developmentally where they are and what to focus on and how to help them better.

  3. In this week’s module, I learned the different ways that a teacher can assist with the development of a child, whether its cognitive, motor, or social emotional skills. As a child educator, this is important because these skills are lifelong and we are their first teachers(aside from their parents). We’re given the chance to help shape a child from such a young age.
