"ReEntry" was created by formerly incarcerated people to communicate the contradictions, difficult decisions, and unexpected events that make staying out of prison nearly impossible for people under community supervision.
  • It's official: With bipartisan support, Montana permanently ends prison gerrymandering!
    Added It's official: With bipartisan support, Montana permanently ends prison gerrymandering! to the Prisoners of the Census Blog. The victory in Montana is a testament to the growing bipartisan and rural support for redistricting reforms that count incarcerated people in their home communities. It's time for the Census Bureau to follow suit.
  • Maine becomes the latest state to end prison gerrymandering
    Added Maine becomes the latest state to end prison gerrymandering to the Prisoners of the Census Blog. New law, sponsored by Speaker of the House Rachel Talbot Ross, ensures people in state prison are counted for redistricting at the same place they vote.
