We encourage you to visit one of the ASAP English tutors during their scheduled tutoring hours. They will be glad to provide feedback on your personal statement, scholarship essay and resume.
In addition, we encourage you to attend as many scholarship workshops as you can to get a greater understanding of all the steps of application and receive advice from the facilitators during the workshop.
1. Come with a draft, even if it is not complete, and all the relevant information on the scholarship you are applying for.
Make sure you researched the scholarship/internship program thoroughly (read carefully through the site) and come with specific questions.
2. Be ready to commit to the process. Crafting a scholarship application requires time and effort so stay focused and make sure to meet with the tutor on several occasions. It is best to set aside a regular time in your week that you will solely dedicate to working on your application, including meeting with the English tutors.
