2nd, take into account what we’ll be studying this semester (you may want to review the syllabus) and try posting 3 SMART GOALS for this class. You may not have a lot of context for public speaking, so do your best. The most important part is to make them specific, so stay away from general goals like “I want to be better at public speaking.” In what specific ways do you want to improve?

By the end of this semester I want to be able to stop saying umm with I’m public specking. Also I want to hold eye contact for longer. Finally I want to be able to sound less monotone.
– by the end of this semester i want to speak more loudly.
– by the end of the semester i want to be a bit more confident.
– by the end of the semester i want to overcome the fear of what others think.
One of the 3 smart goals for this class that i would like to accomplish by the end of this semester is to be to be more confident while speaking towards someone. Another goal would be to be able to speak with a fast reaction meaning able to make decision while in a conversation, and lastly knowing to understand the person while a conversation in order to reply with a good response.
Goal #1- Interact more with others
Goal #2- be more specific when talking or writing about a topic
Goal #3- write out what I want to say before saying it
By then end of the semester I would like to be able to take my time doing my speeches by taking pauses in between lines , also learning how to not look at my paper and have more eye contact with audience.
1. getting used to starting a conversation with new classmates.
2. being able to hold a long conversation.
3. becoming more open and comprehensive.
1. Gain confidence in public speaking
2. Control my body language while doing a public speech
3. Be able to hold eye contact
1. I will use more professional language by using better diction by learning new words by the end of the semester
2. I will be more eloquent when I’m speaking by making an effort to stop stuttering by the end the semester
3. I will be more connecting to my audience when talking by opening myself to connect to my audience by the end of the semester
1. i will be better at speaking up
2. i will be better at holding conversations without having anxiety
3. i will be more outgoing.
My goals for this semester are to 1-reduce the number of pauses and “umms,” in my speaking, 2- communicate using fewer words, 3- speak in a less rushed sounding manner.
