Google Forms is an easy way to collect information from students or others you are working with. Here is some basic information about Google Forms. Once you create a survey/form, you can either link to it from your WordPress site or embed it on a page or post.
To link to your form:
- Navigate to your form while logged in to Google
- Click the “Send” button in the upper right
- Select the link icon
- Copy the link
- Add the link to your page/post in WordPress
To embed your form:
- Activate the Google Docs Shortcode plugin on your site (from Plugins in dashboard)
- Get the link to the Google Form
- Open your Google Form
- Click the “Send” button in the upper right
- Select the link icon
- Copy the link
- Add shortcode to page/post
- In the block editor, create a “Shortcode” block.
- In the classic editor, you do not need to select “Shortcode”; just paste into the Visual editor.
- Paste in the following shortcode, inserting the link for the Google Form that you copied in a previous step:
- [gdoc link=”THE LINK YOU COPIED”]
