Athena-User testing 3

From the data I collected in my feedback sheet it seemed that there was actually a pretty even split of people who found the game easy and challenging. All spent around the same amount of time on the game but had pretty different experiences on it which I find very intresting and wonder what contributes to those answers, if related to previous skills/knowledge.

The most common thing I got told to fix was the water as it seemed to softlock a lot of people and they couldn’t get out, so I want to fix that for the final and try and add a respawn to the player when they touch the water.

Athena-Blog post 6

Over the past two weeks I reworked my idea of what to do for this project. While I did want to find cheese as a detective, I seem to notice I couldn’t really figure how to make the player larger which resulted in a smaller pov and gave me the idea of what if we played the rat instead. Some things I tried to fix but just can’t seem to figure out is the script for the UI and the sound effects of object being picked up. I hope to solve these in class before submitting it.

Athena Blog Post 5

I worked on adding a mini city as my environment and will probably expand it more. I was trying for a long time to get the collectible script to work but keep getting this error that the video doesn’t have at all, so I’m not too sure on what to do to fix that. The theme of my project 3 was finding the missing cheese in the city that rats have stolen. Thinking of placing the cheese’s scattered across everywhere.

Athena week 2 maze walkthrough

A rough idea of the layout I was thinking of for the maze. I might change out the left side rooms for something longer as I was thinking of adding a water part to get by. I do want to add more to the right too as it feels a bit empty with just one room but as of now can’t think of what environmentaly could go there. I also want to add a wall around the areas that are platforms so the player can’t see the outside world and make it a bit more immersive.
