We start off with a Body Interact  Case Simulation. Students are given the opportunity to examine, diagnose, and provide treatments to patients in critical conditions while being timed. We will be doing one of the simulation case from 2-3pm, then we will Join a discussion on Job Outlook Projections to 2029 presented by Lisa Boily and Ben Zupnick of the US Labor of Statistics

Join us on Wednesday Oct 28th, to figure out and learn some future planning skills. Come prepared with your own ideas or future plans so you can ask specific questions about that field to the experts.

Join us on Wednesday the 21st as we talk about the dangers of  telling a single story and the importance of Self care. We will be watching a short TedX talk by Chimamanda Adichie a Nigerian author who talks about the struggles humans face when they are reduced to a single narrative. We will also be listening to  each other’s journeys, stories and the struggles we overcame. This could be a way to decompress for those of you with midterms this week.

Join us to meet the society’s members and be introduced to the ASAP Premedical Society site on BMCC’s Open Lab. In this meeting, we will introduce the society’s mission statement and discuss different opportunities you can take advantage of to become an active member in the society.

We will be concluding the spring semester activities with a medical documentary “The New Medicine.” The documentary discusses the role our mind plays when it comes to our mental health. This will also be a way for students to decompress for the upcoming final exams. It is going to be an interactive and fun session.
