Hello class!

Before anything, please note that all class modules are openly accessible on the Internet. You do not need a password or an OpenLab account to read assigned materials, nor do you need a password or an account, to submit exams and reading response papers.

However, you DO NEED an OpenLab account, and you DO NEED to add yourself to this website, in order to submit DISCUSSION BOARD assignments (and to complete practice quizzes). For guidance on how to join the BMCC OpenLab and to add yourself to this class website (which is part of the BMCC OpenLab), see point 2 below (click on the “Getting Started” link). Here are a few key things that you need to complete, in order to be able to fully access our course web page:

  1. After creating your BMCC OpenLab account, consider adding a photo to your account avatar (picture). This video shows how to do it.
  2. NOTE: this part is very important, you need to complete this step to be able to post Discussion Board assignments. Once you have created an account on the OpenLab, go ahead and add this class by doing the following:
    1. While you are logged into the OpenLab, visit the course profile
    2. Beneath the picture on the course profile, click Join Now

That’s it! You are now a member of the class, and can comment and view all course materials.
