Hi Anchelina! I thought The Matrix was a really interesting example of ideology. The people in the movie accept the simulated world as reality because it is the only reality they know. I think that connects well to the idea of an ideological state apparatus because people can accept certain beliefs or ways of living as normal without questioning where those ideas came from. It also shows how powerful ideology can be when people don’t realize they’re being influenced in the first place.
