Morning everyone, I’m Brandon Christian. I am a Navy veteran who served for 7 years on Submarines. I am a history major and hope to go on to John Jay and then law school. The area of history that interests me the most is early American history including pre-colonial America to the reconstruction period. Also world War II to the civil rights movement. I’m fascinated by my country’s history. Side note I love the beach.
Hi Brandon! Thanks for your service and best of luck in your education. I’m interested in history as well. Someone said to me recently that “history is always changing,” and that’s fascinating to me. I think they meant our understanding of history is always evolving as we make new discoveries and draw new connections. We’re never going to be done analyzing the past. Anyway, hope you get to squeeze in a few more beach days before fall officially hits!
Hello! My name is Anchelina. I’m majoring in criminal justice. At BMCC I’m interested in studying the “why” of crimes. After BMCC I plan on transferring to get my bachelors degree to become a crime scene investigator. Some interests that I have is art, watching movies, and documentaries as well.
Hi Anchelina! It is nice to meet you! I have heard a lot of people don’t really ask the “why” part and as someone who is always asking why…I love that this is something you plan to continue and work on. I believe that is so interesting since in different documentaries or movies, people only cover the events that took place. I wish you luck on your major and I hope you have an amazing semester!
Hi ANCHELINA, i am so glad that we have the same major and that it is a good major, also i am planning to get my bachelors degree after bmcc.
