This course is the first level of a three-semester sequence of music theory courses that focuses on the analysis of fundamental musical materials and stylistic comprehension of music, primarily of the 18th century. Prerequisite: Entrance is by placement exam, or successful completion of MUS 105 with a grade of C or higher, or by permission of the department.
