MUS117 Music The­ory I Prof. Robert Reed Sp20

This course is the first level of a three-se­mes­ter se­quence of music the­ory courses that fo­cuses on the analy­sis of fun­da­men­tal mu­si­cal ma­te­ri­als and styl­is­tic com­pre­hen­sion of music, pri­mar­ily of the 18th cen­tury. Pre­req­ui­site: En­trance is by place­ment exam, or suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of MUS 105 with a grade of C or higher, or by per­mis­sion of the de­part­ment.
