I wanted to clarify a few things, based on some of the questions that came up today. It’s great that you all are in touch with each other but don’t forget that you can also ask me questions directly, by email or during my office hours.
- The discussion board posts are due every week, by Monday 11:59 PM.
- If you turn one in after this deadline, you will receive partial credit.
- When you post your discussion board post, the title should read: First Name Last Name DB # (for example: Soniya Munshi DB 4)
- Before you publish your post, pick a category: DB #
- You are expected to write THREE short essays out of a total of FIVE possible essays.
- The essays have SUGGESTED due dates- this means that if you want more time to complete the essay, you don’t have to negotiate the deadline with me.
- I suggest due dates so that you can space the work and not have a buildup of assignments at the end of the semester. If you’re able to follow my suggested due dates, you should.
- You must turn in at least one short essay before March 23.
- Essay #1 can be submitted on Blackboard OR you can submit it as a post on our site. If you choose to post it, you can select the category “Essay #1.” You can also choose to make your post “private” : near the blue PUBLISH button, you should see an option that says “visibility.” Click on this and you will see an option to make your post private. You can actually do this for any post that you don’t want others to read.
- There is one longer essay assignment that has several parts- I will share instructions about this essay assignment later this month.
