What is Culturally Responsive Teaching ?

Culturally Responsive Teaching is acknowledging as an educator that students are not blank slates. Children have been learning since in the womb, they have been socializing with their families and environments , and have been adopting to their culture. By knowing this an educator will strive to be inclusive for all students and they will understand that there is no right or wrong way of doing things but there is a culture’s way of doing things.

What is Culturally Responsive Teaching?

What does “culture” mean for young children? Most likely, it is not something they think about; culture is how they move through the world everyday.
