Weekly Assignments and Seminar Projects

It has been disheartening, week after week to review the weekly assignments and seminar projects and note how few members of our class community are completing all the required work.

We are now entering the 5th week of a 14-week semester. This week, only one student completed the seminar project (Storytelling) and only two students completed the curriculum web assignment. Three students have not yet submitted the draft of the thematic curriculum plan, which was due two weeks ago on September 12. Without my feedback on that draft plan, you cannot complete any of the follow-up curriculum web assignments.

That is unacceptable. Weekly assignments and seminar projects are due each week. These assignments are meant to be shared each week with the class community. Each time you do not complete an assignment, you lose points. It may not seem like much at the time, but it will add up. As of now, there is no one in the class who has completed all the assignments to date.

Please note that your final grade will reflect the work that you have done throughout the semester. I will not accept a slew of assignments and seminar projects completed in a rush at the end of the semester.

Each seminar project, and many of the weekly assignments are designed to help you complete the Curriculum Web and Activity Plan assignment. If you do not complete this work during the semester, it will be reflected in the quality and the grade of that final project.
