In your Curriculum Web, you will introduce the big ideas and essential questions of your curriculum theme and sub-topics, including in each sub-topic a brief description of various learning activities and children’s literature you will use to explore these ideas and questions.
In your Activity Plan you will focus on the details of one learning activity (lesson): the goals, objectives, teaching strategies, materials, procedures, and learning standards that provide an engaging learning experience for young children.
In this module, you will learn to create an interdisciplinary learning experience using a variety of strategies to engage children in exploring the essential questions through the creative arts and through multiple modalities (intelligences).
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Explain how long-term investigations and multimodal learning impact children’s learning experiences.
- Begin to develop an interdisciplinary learning experience rooted in the creative arts.
