  2. 1. Pounding Bench- A 0-18 month child would use the mini play hammer to pound onto the colorful objects and possibly try to grab at the colorful objects and try pulling them out.

    2. Dramatic Play Materials- A 0-18 month child can use this dramatic play material by using their imagination and imitate others during play, moving the objects around to pretend to cook, and clean.

    3. Baby rattle- A 0-18 month can use this rattle by holding onto it, shake it, switch from hand to hand, use it to bang on other objects, and use to try putting in mouth.

    4. Empty Box- A 0-18 month old child can use the box to play around with putting objects in and taking objects out, trying to eat the box, and depending on how big the box is can get inside and use their imagination on what the box could be for that child.

    The cognitive skills used in these materials are imagination and imitation.

  4. 1). Pounding bench toy: A 0-18 months old baby can use this material by hammering pegs through their holes, flip the toy over and start again. This toy promotes development and stimulates and develops creativity, visual- spatial ability, fine motor and logic skills.

    2). Dramatic play materials: A 0-18 months baby can use dramatic play to explore their own thoughts and feelings. Dramatic play is an important part of a child’s social emotional and cognitive development.

    3). Baby Rattle: This material is used to help infants improve hand eye coordination by stimulating their senses. A baby rattle is produced for the amusement of an infant. By integrating rattles into daily playtime, you can promote and strengthen the child’s motor abilities and help him reach cognitive milestones, which involves his ability to think and reason.

    4). Empty Box: This material is a great point for creative and imaginative play. A child uses the box and imagination to change the box into something they can use for pretend play, like a castle, shop cave and many more. Then children can use her imagination and problem- solving skills to turn their ideas into reality.

    Dramatic Play Materials: 0-18 month old babies are able to develop their cognitive, fine and gross motor skills as they interact with this type of toys. They can recreate situations from real life and start understanding concepts.
    Baby Rattle: 0-18 month old babies are able to use it for banging and putting it in their mouths. This type of toy help babies develop their fine motor skills as they have to hold it with their hands using their fingers.
    Empty Box: 0-18 month old babies are able to use it to play putting things and toys in and out. They would try to touch and sense the material of the box in all possible ways as touching it and putting their mouths on it.

    Empty box – Babies 0-18 would use this empty box to jump in and sit. They also pretend it to make their house and cover themselves with it. The skills shown would be imitation, understanding space and object permanence. The babies would imitate to be inside their house (the box), they would learn where to keep their body and what limited space they have. They would also learn how had or soft the box is by sitting in it or feeling it with their hands or body.
