    – Early Childhood Education is a profession like a specific category we wanna pursue in under being a teacher. Being an educator is a job which is where you teach children.
    2. What about working with infants & toddlers? Why?
    – Working with infants and toddlers we learn to understand the development of infants and toddlers from the birth to the age of 3. How each child develops.
    3. What professional expectations do we have for early childhood professionals? Some expectations we have as early childhood professionals are..
    – To educate and observe
    – Care for the children
    – Make sure the classroom is a clean and a healthy environment.

      Kathy, I agree with your answer. A professionals expectation we must have for early childhood profession is to educate and observe. Educating and observing is a main purpose for becoming a teacher assistant. In observing the children, we become aware of early detection in growth development.

    An early childhood education is a profession because it takes prolong training and qualifications to become a teacher.

    Working with infants and toddlers is not a job, it is a profession because you need trainings, finger printings and awareness of child’s development to know if they are growing properly. This takes training.

    Our expectation is to have communication skills. We might want to have patience and have to have a sense of humor. Most important have a passion for children.

      Hi Annamarija, I totally agree with you. Early childhood as a profession needs a lot training and qualifications. Early childhood professionals need to have passion for what they doing and enjoy working with children.

    I believe that early childhood education is a profession because you do need the requirements to work in the field. Also to work with children you have to have the passion for it, it is something that you don’t need the training for. Observing, educating and interacting with children is something that has to come within you it is not an obligation.

    Working with infants and toddlers it is also a passion and you need to have some specific requirements for it.

    Some professional expectations that we have for early childhood is to care and nurture for children, be patient and always have your best positive attitude.

Infants & toddlers require special training because they need to remain in a safe evirnoment and are more delicate to be with due to the fact that they are still babies that are counitining to grow.

    – I believe early childhood education is a profession because it’s a field the requires special tranings and skills in order to be able to work with children. You need a degree or need to be certified in order to qualify for a job in this field.

    – Working with infants and toddler is also a profession because you must complete a certain amount of hours for training. You need to be qualified by DOE and have finger prints in order to work with infants and toddlers.

    – The expectations that we have for early childhood professionals is that we must maintain a safe and healthy evironment in the classroom. We have to have good communication skills and patiences when it comes to working with children.

I also agree with what you said that we need good communication skills because communicating with children is a good way to know their skills.

      Hi Daniela, I agree that early childhood is a profession because as their teachers we need to makes sure we have those special skills and training in order to teach and watch them. I also agree that we need to make sure we have a safe and healthy environment for the kids.

    Early childhood is a profession, because you have to study child development stages, mentally and physically. go through training and observing children to be able to understand their need and how to deal with it

    Working with infant and toddlers is a profession too for the same reasons I listed above. But I think infants and toddlers will need more focus on a certain part of development stages more than others.

    Early childhood is a profession because in order to work with children you must be trained and a well professional. It is a big responsibility when it comes to working with younger kids especially because you have to monitor their behavior very carefully.

      I think that underatanding how a toddler expresses themselves is really important! I’ve worked with teachers who think the moment a toddler cries they should panic or send them home. It is good to know what is appropriate!

    I think that early childhood education is a profession because it requires higher education and a great amount of training. I think a job is a way to make money without indication of any particular training or education.

    I think that working with infants and toddlers also requires a set amount of knowledge and training to be successful. It is hard to understand infant and toddlers needs without any previous training or experience.

    My expectations are that early childhood professionals will be able to curate age-appriate activities for children and facilitate a comforting and enriching learning enviornment.

    As for expectations from a professional, I believe it is very important to be able to feel motivated and inspired when working with a young group of children. You should enjoy your environment and the kids that come into it. It’s inspiring to leave an impact on these kids and teach them certain skills that they can carry with them throughout life and their learning stages.

    This is also a profession because these children need special care, their minds are developing and they will start exploring as they get older. Adults need to be speically trained to work with them.

    They need to be motivated, willing to handle any challenges they face. They have to speak and dress properly, have great time management skills and be a caretaker for these children. Children have to be safe and happy while they are learning and that comes from a great classroom atmosphere set by the educator.

    – I think early childhood is a profession because a job is regular employment. A profession is a paid occupation especially one that involves long trainings and a qualification.

    – Working with infants and toldlers is also a profession because you have to undergo trainings , you have to have a passion for doing is because it takes patience. I don’t think anyone will go through all the trainings, fingerprinting, schooling and all the work that comes with it to qualify for this unless they want this for the rest of their life as a career.
