Since I often had to tear pages from large books of prepared schoolwork and notes to go home from school, I made the decision to speak up in favor of this cause. I don’t recall ever learning about my classmates or having to bring items from home to share with my classmates while I was a student. There is a lot of cases about young students committing suicide due to bullying, there is a lot of hatred amongst every culture, a lot of students suffering about not understanding topics and feeling scared to speak up. Our tiny children, who appear to know nothing, actually have greater potential than we adults have. Just as the saying ‘Children’s brains are like sponges, absorbing everything going on around them’ We must get started quickly in teaching our children the true purpose of learning, as well as how to spread love, love oneself, and love to learn. Education is crucial in a child’s life, and if they have a distaste of it from a young age, it may conflict with what they want to accomplish in the future. The future is in our hands as educators, and we must abandon corporate-planned lessons in favor of lessons that have actual significance and give our students the freedom to be themselves while learning and loving the students around them as they all learn from one another.
