Cultural Responsiveness

Widely used curriculum guides lack training for teachers on critical developmental concepts like cultural sensitivity, which is crucial in a child’s growth. After school, a child’s customs, cultures, food, language, beliefs, etc. are put to use, thus it should be necessary to be able to incorporate that into the classroom. This is due to the fact that learning will become more enjoyable and comfortable. The kids will get more interested in one another and learn about various cultures and traditions as a result of being given the freedom to talk about their own cultures and traditions with one another. This will help the kids form closer bonds with one another. By incorporating cultural responsiveness into the classroom, students will be able to enjoy learning about other people’s cultures and traditions and develop a very early appreciation for their differences.
