1- The difference between both owners and employers is that the income both might get. Owners lift off their investments their rent and other property in college and people that are employers rely on wages salaries tips etc.

2- what I understood from his quote is that whatever the Employers make is what they live on for example they have a limit to the money they put their rental aside the groceries suicide and they can’t how much money they need and they probably have some leftover they can spend on them selves . basically they manage and they have limits to everything.

3- I agree that class is not identity but hate to say who live in a society where it is my name is your who you are and money put you where u want .

4-capitalism is the closest form of dependency upper class higher class dependent on populism to make their profits from the lower class who depend on them to have money to support their families

1–There are five different social classes upper  , upper middle , middle ,working and lower.  Yes I do notice a difference in the readings . Like in reading 4.1 explains how the income we make has a effect on the social class . And how the analysis shows how people subcategories themselves into the social class that fits them the most . In article 4.2 shows us different train lines in New York and different stops and what’s the neighborhood make as income

2. The train station that is near me is the number 1 line at 191 street the income is 38,994  . I am not surprised to this number it is a fair number I feel like it is accurate because in the Washington heights it is mixed with middle and working class there is not s lot of projects here in fact in the heights the rent is becoming so high that the people who can’t afford leave and people who can afford it move in . For example just 5 years ago the building we are in was full is colored and Hispanics now it is only us and white people and Jews in the building

3- I do notice a pattern in the city where there is parts that are high and parts that are for low .

1- A representative state apparatus is a system that controls and can be really violent at times it contains police , courts, prisons Althusser calls it repressive because the state has the power over you

2- A definition of an ideological state is used as a school church family they use their power to bring a message and the way to behave or act

3- Althusser says there is two thinks needed for making people do things , the first one is fear he says it’s being used to make sure people are acting and behaving right . The second way is the social conformity it makes people act in ways they have been made to Believe

4- This is a form of Idelogy

1- The way I think of ideology is like this , we do not choose our race our how Rich we are nore do we have the chose to be born into a Christian , Muslim , Jewish family . We are raised and exposed to all of that as children, but that doesn’t mean we can not be exposed or influenced to different parts of ideology such as peers , friends, and this has its negatives and positives

2- The way I understand the difference between conservatives and liberals when it comes to what they believe in their political ideologies in the United States politics is that fear is the most important factor in it that effects all the people and different social classes and race whether you are a conservative or liberal. The difference between them is the way the parties run the show . For example conservatives like less involvement of the government and liberals prefer the government solves the problems

3- The way Althusser definition is that we are made to believe that we have our freedom and and choices and that we don’t need authorities to keep them . He also says they our education system and schools are where our children are exposed to the most government controlled.

~1. Alexander argues that the war on drugs and rising and incarceration rates are not a because of the crack problem she says that the crack problem was really high but there is no truth that the war on drugs was made in response to crack cocaine . The president Ronald Regan officially announced the current drug war in 1982 before crack became the issue in the media or crisis. Drugs and crack cocaine was Morley being sprayed in poor black neighborhoods

~2. Racial disparity cannot be explained by rates of drug crimes because there is little racial disparity in the world of drugs. They have found that in surveys token white particularly white youth are more likely to engage in drug crimes than people of color but the prisons and jails in America are flowing with black and brown drug offenders so it proves the opposite

~3.The way I understand the phrase that our penal system can no longer be seen as the justice and fairness as it is shown in the reading it is it is more one that wants to control us and our people and it has a lot of favoritism for the whites and discriminates people of color and communities

~1. They used the word’s law and order to hide the truth that they didn’t approve of the combination between the white and colored people segregation was still there keep the white people away from the people of colored when you think about it law and order it doesn’t sound like they are coming at the people of colored.

~2. Yes I %100 percent believe that southern strategy is still influencing the political parties today for example former president Trump banned 6 muslim countries from entering the united states. so much of. my family was impacted because Yemen was one of those countries. also the border that he was talking about and all the ice officers deporting immigrants they tend to forget that immigrants make the USA.
